“I work in the Marketing Department of the International Herald Tribune (IHT) in Paris. One part of my work is to collect useful information and statistics about the newspaper and its readers. The paper uses this information to persuade companies to buy advertising space. I collect the sales figures that come in from the IHT offices all over the world and send the information to a company called OJD. OJD checks the figures and publishes the official sales of IHT and thousands of other newspapers and magazines.”
